Sport Relief – 18th March 2016

March 10, 2016 12:37 pm

Dear Parent/ Carer

On Friday 18th March Ellis Guilford School will be supporting the charity Sport Relief by hosting fund raising activities during the normal school day. We will be encouraging staff and students to get involved in raising money to support the good work already done by Sport Relief.

The Ellis Guilford Student Council selected Sport Relief as a charity to support because it brings together the world of sport and entertainment to raise money to help vulnerable people here in both the UK and the world’s poorest countries and because 50% of all money raised is spent here in the UK supporting many projects which help people who need it the most.

There are many ways students can raise money such as taking part in the sports competitions during their P.E. lesson or by donating money towards the staffs ‘Cycle to Cardiff’ and ‘Row to Rotherham’ challenge, but more significantly by donating £1 to wear sportswear for the day.

Any student who wishes to take part in the wearing of sportswear for a donation of £1 must wear at least one item of sportswear, the wearing of trainers as the one item of sportswear will not count. If your child does not wish to wear sportswear then they must arrive to school in full uniform.

Thank you for your support, if you have any queries about the day please do not hesitate to contact your child’s House team.

Thank you for your support.
