Home Learning

We believe that students should be encouraged to undertake purposeful and enjoyable learning at home and outside of timetabled lessons. We expect all students to receive regular home learning tasks and the timetables for each year group give you guidance for each subject.

All students are expected to study at home and will be given a variety of tasks to complete. Some of these will be extended independent projects and revision activities, others will be shorter tasks to be completed on paper or using an on line programme such as My Maths.

Your son or daughter will be set home learning by their subject teachers through Google Classroom. All students at Ellis Guilford School have their own login to Google Classroom where they will be able to view their work. Once set, students will receive a notification, work will appear in each classroom, the week it is due as well as a calendar view. Please see the guide below to support accessing Home Learning.

We are now beginning to link parent/carers to Google Classroom accounts to enable home learning summaries by email for your child. This will be rolling out in Term 1.2 of 2018. A letter will go out with more information in the coming weeks.
