qos_2016-twitter_2It has been a big year for sport in general and there have been many sporting triumphs for British sportsmen and women. Wales making the semi-finals of Euro 2016; Team GB and the amazing 67 medals gained this summer in Rio and countless individual achievements and triumphs are just a few of the many highlights which will be celebrated at this year’s BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award.

A great way to reflect on this incredible year in school was to recreate the popular BBC sports quiz: ‘A Question of Sport’. Buzzers at the ready and Mr Collington as Sue Barker… get, set, go!img_0836

The quiz took place on the evening of Thursday 8th December and 19 Year 7 students represented their House and rattled through questions on seven books which they had read in their own time.

The subs’ bench made an interesting addition this year and added to team tactics and dynamics.img_0839

Thank you to all those who came to support and especially the relatives who took part during the parent round to answer some tricky questions. The Sport’s Leaders supported brilliantly in making it a challenging, tense but most definitely fun night for all those who took part.
